On most days, Jesus can be found behind the wheel of VM 32. Originally from Wilmington, DE, he is known as the quieter, more reserved member of the team. Outside of work, Jesus enjoys cooking and playing video games, and proudly calls himself a “Grill Master.”

Fun Fact: Jesus learned to cook through video calls with his mom after moving back to the U.S. from Mexico at just 15 years old.

If you could choose any celebrity to be your best friend, who would it be?

If I could choose, I wouldn't pick a celebrity-I would pick one of the characters from Modern Warfare. That would be awesome.

What is an achievement you are proud of?

One of my proudest achievements is building a life for myself after moving back to the U.S. at 15. I’ve been working since then, even without a high school diploma or college degree. By the age of 20, I was able to buy my first house — something most people can’t say they’ve done!

What does a perfect day off look like for you? 

My perfect day off would include playing video games, hanging out, and cooking out.

Luis

Most days, Luis can be found training as a VM Operator alongside Jesus in VM 32. Originally from Mexico, he is the newest member of the team and has quickly settled into his role. Outside of work, Luis enjoys watching thriller and drama movies (with popcorn, of course) or spending time with friends playing pool, cards, or catching the latest soccer match. A passionate soccer fan, he proudly supports both the Mexico and U.S. national teams.

If you could choose any celebrity to be your best friend, who would it be?

If I could choose, I would pick Lionel Messi. It would have been incredible to meet him while I was playing soccer — to learn from him or just kick the ball around together.

What is an achievement you are proud of?

At 18, I moved from Mexico to the U.S. to build a life for myself. I’m proud to say that at 23, I was able to buy my own house — a milestone that means a lot to me.

What does a perfect day off look like for you? 

A perfect day off would start with sleeping in and heading to IHOP for breakfast (the chicken and waffles are my go-to). The rest of the day would be spent watching soccer with friends and winding down with a movie at home.

You’ll usually find Israel — or “Izzy” — behind the wheel of VM 37. Originally from Mexico, he now lives in Wilmington, DE. Outside of work, Izzy enjoys spending time with his two daughters, whether they’re playing pretend kitchen or riding bikes together. He also enjoys karaoke nights, grilling out on warm days, and spending time with friends.

If you could choose any celebrity to be your best friend, who would it be?

I’d pick actor Sung Kang from the Fast & Furious movies. His character has one of my favorite quotes about valuing friendship over material possessions:
“I have money, it's trust and character I need around me. You know, who you choose to be around you lets you know who you are. One car in exchange for knowing what a man's made of? That's a price I can live with.”

What is an achievement you are proud of?

Aside from buying a house at 23 years old, an achievement I'm most proud of is making my brother-in-law laugh! He's a pretty serious man, and I am at the top of the list for people who can make him crack. 

What does a perfect day off look like for you? 

A perfect day off for me would be washing my car! And if it ends with a dinner at Fogo de Chão with my wife, even better.

Originally from Bear, DE, Tanner is known as the team's go-to fixer. If you've got a question or a problem that needs solving, Tanner's your guy. In 2024, Tanner was recognized by the Delaware Business Times as a 40 Under 40. The award recognizes young professionals in the Delaware area who are making a name for themselves, which Tanner has certainly done since joining GFP in 2016. When not at work, Tanner enjoys spending time working on his house, playing with his dog Axel, and spending time with his Fiancé Kayla, and their newest addition—their son Maverick!  

Fun Fact: Tanner has an identical twin who lives in the same neighborhood.

If you could choose any celebrity to be your best friend, who would it be?

If I could choose any celebrity, it would have to be Tom Cruise! Top Gun is one of my favorite movies, and it’s a bucket list item of mine to fly in a jet!

What is an achievement you are proud of?

I started my career when I was only 16, right here at GFP, and have been with the company ever since. At just 19 years old, I was promoted to Foreman. Thanks to the success of my career, I was able to buy my first house at 23 years old.

What does a perfect day off look like for you? 

A perfect day off for me is spending time hanging out with my family! Although spending a day driving Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier National Park doesn’t sound so bad either.

Matt

Matt, on most days, can be found behind the wheel of VM 40.  Originally from Newark, DE, Matt is best known for being the more serious teammate, although his nickname on the crew is "Smoove." This combination of characteristics makes him a perfect leader as the team's Operator Foreman. When not at work, Matt enjoys being a dad and spending time with his 2-year-old daughter and recent newborn, riding his Harley, fishing, and going to the range to shoot guns.

If you could choose any celebrity to be your best friend, who would it be?

If I could choose any celebrity, I would have to pick the guys from the Jackass series.

What is an achievement you are proud of?

I would have to say my greatest achievement is getting to be a dad! I enjoy any chance I can to hang out with my little girls.

What does a perfect day off look like for you? 

My perfect day off would be spending the day out on the water! You can usually find me spending time at a river in Maryland.

Scottie, on normal days, can be found behind the wheel of VM 34.  Originally from Newark, DE. Scottie is best known for being the team’s most outgoing member. When not at work, Scottie enjoys spending time with his wife Emily and their son Dawson.

If you could choose any celebrity to be your best friend, who would it be?

Although I'm more of an action movie guy, I would pick a comedy actor as my celebrity best friend. My top three choices would be Will Ferrell, Kevin Hart, or Adam Sandler.

What is an achievement you are proud of?

An achievement I'm most proud of is that I bought my house by the time I turned 23.

What does a perfect day off look like for you? 

The perfect day off for me would be hanging out with friends and family, fishing or surf fishing (one of my favorite fishing spots is the Indian River Inlet), and ending the day with a nice BBQ dinner on the smoker with a couple of beers. I don't get the chance to ride too much anymore, so throw that in there somewhere throughout the day, and that would make it even more perfect!

Bryan, on normal days, can be found behind the wheel of VM 39. Originally from Wilmington, DE, Bryan is best known for being the team’s more “mellow” driver. When not at work, Bryan enjoys fishing, painting, and spending time with his 9-year-old son.

If you could choose any celebrity to be your best friend, who would it be?

My top choice would have to be Willie Nelson-who I had the chance to see in the summer of 2023!

What is an achievement you are proud of?

My greatest achievement is being a dad. I really enjoy being with my family and spending time with them whenever I can. One of my favorite things to do is take my son to the waterparks; our go-to is Killens Pond!

What does a perfect day off look like for you? 

My perfect day off would be a relaxing day of driving in the country with my wife and son in my original ’68 Chrysler Newport.

Juan, on normal days, can be found behind the wheel of VM 35. Originally from Newark, DE, he’s known as one of the quieter members of the team. Outside of work, Juan enjoys hitting the gym, spending time with friends and family, and traveling (Tokyo and Dubai are at the top of his bucket list). A die-hard Ravens fan, he makes it a tradition to hit one away game each season—partly for the football, partly to check out new stadiums across the country.

If you could choose any celebrity to be your best friend, who would it be?

I'd have to pick Lamar Jackson, the Baltimore Ravens quarterback. He's a very impactful player in the league.

What is an achievement you are proud of?

One of my proudest accomplishments is being the first in my family to graduate from both high school and college. As the oldest of five, I take a lot of pride in setting an example and helping pave the way for my younger siblings.

What does a perfect day off look like for you? 

I would say my perfect day involves me being out and about; I don't like to sit at home! I'd probably head to the shore (Ocean City, Atlantic City, or Wildwood) for the day or weekend.

Originally from Wilmington, DE, Vance can be found behind the wheel of VM 38. When not at work, Vance enjoys sipping orange crushes seaside, staying active at the gym, golfing, and spending time with family—especially at the beach.

If you could choose any celebrity to be your best friend, who would it be?

I’d choose Eagles legend Jason Kelce. I’ve been a lifelong Eagles fan, and he embodies everything great about Philly. Go Birds!

What is an achievement you are proud of?

I’m most proud of my marriage and growing family. I’m also grateful for the knowledge I’ve gained from my peers and the strong relationships I’ve built through concrete.

What does a perfect day off look like for you?

For me, a perfect day off is either enjoying a round of golf with friends, spending time on the boat with family, or tailgating and rallying for the Eagles at a game.

Originally from Toughkenamon, PA, Dominic moved to Wilmington, DE at the age of 13. From a young age, Dominic learned the value of hard work, spending long days on his grandfather’s mushroom farm after school and on weekends. After moving to Wilmington, DE, he worked seven days a week at his stepfather’s butcher shop. At 14, Dominic took a summer job in the concrete industry, not realizing it would lay the foundation for his future career.

In 2012, he founded GFP Companies with the launch of GFP Cement Contractors LLC, now a leading provider of concrete construction services. As the business grew, Dominic identified a gap in the market for small on-site concrete pours—a challenge he tackled by founding GFP Mobile Mix Supply LLC in March 2019.

Today, Dominic continues to bring innovation and grit to the construction industry, leading both companies with the same work ethic that shaped his early years. When he’s not working, you can find him spending time with his wife of 29 years and three daughters.
